Vectran puncture barrier
This most effective anti-puncture system is placed directly under the tread area. A core of the anti-puncture system is made from Vectran – liquid crystal polymer (LCP) fibers which are five times stronger than steel. Vectran offers also outstanding cut resistance and high impact resistance at a low weight – highly demanding properties for high-end bicycle tires. It not only provides the best possible puncture protection but also ensures cornering and stability.

SPC silicia compound
Tufo uses this high performance road racing tread compound in the majority of their road tires. With 66 Shore A hardness this well-balanced blend of synthetic and natural rubbers with Activated Silica filler provide excellent wet grip and low rolling resistance.

Protective rubber ply
An additional layer located underneath the tread indicating tire wear and so the possibility of punctures when showing through.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
